My recent stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Bellevue/Downtown was a mixed bag, mostly marred by some severe communication issues. Although the location was excellent, with easy access to public transport and vibrant local attractions, I encountered rude staff who failed to address my concerns adequately. On top of this, I was unpleasantly surprised by a half-day charge that was never communicated prior to my check-out. While the in-house Starbucks provided a great morning caffeine boost, and the fitness center was adequately equipped, the overall service left much to be desired. For an avid marathon runner like myself, having a welcoming atmosphere is key, and unfortunately, this hotel missed the mark. If you're looking for a cozy spot with convenient amenities, this could work for some; however, be prepared for a less-than-stellar level of service that detracts from what could have been a great stay.
